IFA IS THE VOICE OF OLODUMARE (THE CREATOR)
IFA HISTORY IN BRIEF.
Different denomination among religion groups have different historical background which take various forms in different places, or different parts of the world" Hitherto, different people with different culture and traditions have within the wide web of their oral tradition innumerable accounts of bewildering, Chaos and confusion Phenomena which shape our belief systems and convention or customs.
For example, the story of the great flood can be located in oral history as mirror of life of almost all the peoples in the universe; the Greek, the Roman, the Hebrews, the Makus of Guyana etc. In Africa and especially among the Yoruba the story goes thus;
Long ago, the people of Ife offended God because in the midst of material confort, they forgot to make the necessary sacrifice to him. Olodumare therefore decided to punish them with famine and their controversy. They had nothing to eat for a long time. Later they decided to consult the priest of the Ifa oracle, (Orunmila) to ask what they could do to restore peace, success, harmony and plenty to their land.
Orunmila consulted the oracles and told the people to sacrifice 200 bush rats, 200 fishes, 200 hens, 200 pigeon, 200 he-goats and 200 she-goats to appease Olodumare so that they might find solution to their distress. Otherwise, a greater calamity would befall them. The people said, they cloud not afford to offer this sacrifice, for they had not the means of getting the things required for it.
In an attempt to save himself, Orunmila consulted the oracle in orders to known what he could do so that the doom which was soon to befall the domain of ife would not affect him. Later he went up to heaven on a rope sent down to earth for this purpose. Hardly had Orunmila left the earth when rain started and began to fall in heavy torrents, day and night. The waters rose and covered all the groud, mountains and trees.
The domain of Ifa and the whole world swept away. Only one palm tree remains on to which Orunmila descended when he returned to reorganize the earth.

Ifa is most crucial, important, and of much consequence aminng the Orisa the Olodumare sent to the planet earth, which stand as most fanatic and strong Orisa, and his most controller and president among all other Orisa, or to show us how they work, Olodumare give him knowledge, sense, wisdom, ingenuity skill fullness and wit in order to explain what is knotty to all the human beings. Ifa is a kind of oracle that empower and investigates human life, ifa will tell us the root of an issue, or what actually caused problem for human beings such as, children, wife, and work.. ifa will glimpse to the matter.
In furtherance of ifa oracle divination system in the textual universe, our search light will be directed to elucidates further that, ifa consultation will narrate how human being has been crated, by initiation in to ifa divination. The important point is that there is a paramount different between ifa initiation and that of ifa creation.
